The 2012 Nissan GT-R portfolio in Japan has been expanded with the bespoke Egoist edition, which Nissan says is created by a takumi, or “master with greatest skills.” Available by special order and priced from $184,650, the GT-R Egoist offers customers a choice of 20 interior colors, plus quilted leather seats hand-stitched by Seton of Germany.
Among the changes are increases in engine output to 523 horsepower and in torque to 451 pound-feet — sizable increases over the 2011 GT-R’s 485 hp and 434 lb-ft. Fuel economy also has been improved, with the average on the Japanese test cycle rising to 20 mpg.
The 2012 Nissan GT-R official photos gallery confirm which the exterior design styling changes we observed at the recent Paris show will come here as well, including the revised front fascia with double “rectifier fins,” new 2012 Nissan GT-R LED running lights, and redesigned headlight innards, as well as new wheels, super-huge exhaust tips, and a revised rear diffuser. Both 2012 Nissan GT-R front and rear down force measurements are said to increase by ten percent compared to those of the current tuning car, and Nissan also claims the generally coefficient of drag drops from 0.27 to 0.26, that is surprising since added down force typically increases the drag coefficient. Best 2012 Nissan GT-R test drive performance and car review presented at this pictures. Nissan claims improvements in emissions and fuel economy as well.
